Vital: Thirst

Thirst is a primary survival vital in Hex Survival. Because it drains daily at Midnight, dehydration is a constant threat for any town without a reliable water source.

1. The Midnight Drain

At Midnight, every player’s thirst bar is reduced by 40% (4 bars out of 10). This “Midnight Toll” is mandatory for survival and must be addressed before the transition to a new day.

2. Restoring Thirst

Thirst is primarily restored by consuming Clean Water. Note that high-level stims will increase thirst as a side effect.

3. Where to Find Water

Base Infrastructure

Building specialized facilities at the Base provides a reliable, daily source of hydration for the town.

  • Well: Produces 10 Water at Midnight. Resources are added to the Town Bank.

Scavenging Locations

If the base production is insufficient, players must scavenge the wasteland.

  • Oasis: The primary source of Clean Water (Weight 90).
  • Forest: Good source of Clean Water (Weight 40).
  • Human Farm Facility: Moderate source of Clean Water (Weight 35).
  • Ruined City: Small amounts of Clean Water can be found here.
